This is not a blog I wanted to write. Instead it's a blog I needed to write.
I've been forced to live in a nursing home (i.E. Skilled nursing facility) since January 10th, 2014. I was abandoned in my home on December 31st, 2013 By my husband of nearly 14 years. My crime was being emotional due to a disease I did not cause, namely ALS, with a side of frontotemporal disease.
Anyway, my husband disappeared for a while in a conscious effort to force me into a nursing home situation. In short, he succeeded. Now, here I am, a young-at-heart 51-year-old wheelchair-bound woman essentially incarcerated in a facility where the bulk of the population is geriatric non-communicatives.
